AVA returns to Titanic Slipways from 31.5 – 1.6.2024.


AVA Festival runs from Friday 31st May – Saturday 1st June at the Titanic Slipways in Belfast. The festival will open each day at 13.00 and close at 23:00.

We suggest you get down to the festival early (pre 3 PM) to avoid queueing at the entrance. The entrance area will be particularly busy 3PM onwards.

Last entry to the festival is 7PM.

AVA Festival is a day festival spread over a Friday and Saturday on 31 May & 01 June! While we do not have an official accommodation partnership, we have curated a handpicked selection of hotels, hostels, glamping sites, and more in Belfast that we highly recommend you explore. The Titanic Slipways is only 2.4km (1.5 miles) away from Belfast City Centre – a pleasant 25-30 minute walk.


By Car

Please note there is no customer car park. We strongly advise walking or using public transport if you plan on arriving after 3pm. Vehicles approaching Belfast on the M1 or M2 should follow the signs to Belfast City Airport M3, taking the first exit for Titanic Quarter. There is a drop off and pick up point located on Bell’s Theorem Crescent here

By Train

Translink operate regular train services from Belfast City Centre and beyond. For up-to-date information on timetables please see Please disembark at Titanic Quarter Station for Titanic Belfast. From here there is pedestrian access via a footbridge, please then follow signage to Titanic Belfast. Walking time is approx. 15 mins from station.


By Bus or Glider

Translink operate Metro Services 26, 26A, 26B, 26C from Belfast City Centre – departing outside the Belfast Welcome Centre to Titanic Belfast which is just down the road from the Titanic Slipways. While the Airport Express 600, 600A, 600B services Belfast City Centre, Titanic Belfast and George Best Belfast City Airport. View timetables here for latest information.

Translink also operate the Belfast Glider which connects East and West Belfast and Titanic Quarter with the city centre. There is a Titanic halt outside Titanic Belfast.


By Air
George Best Belfast City Airport is a short 5-10 minute drive from the Titanic Slipways, with regular bus links and taxi or car hire available at the airport. For full details please see

Belfast International Airport is a 30 minute drive from the Titanic Slipways, with a regular bus service running to Belfast City Centre – Airport Express 300/300A. Dublin Airport is around 90 minutes drive from the Titanic Slipways, with a regular bus service and car hire available.

By Ferry
The Titanic Slipways is easily accessible by sea with ferry crossings from both Scotland and England. Travel by state of the art superfast ferries with journey times from just 2 hours 15 minutes. Stena Line and P&O Irish Sea have daily crossings.


AVA’s Belfast Conference will return on Friday 31st May at Titanic Belfast.

Entry is free, registration is essential via the form on this page.

The dancing doesn’t end when the festival site closes. There will be a whole host of afterparties taking place across Belfast in some of the city’s most iconic venues hosted by some of our favourite festival acts as well as a few extra faces you’ll know and love.

Tickets are on sale now via RA. These will sell out, get them while they last.

You can purchase AVA merchandise on-site at the festival or from our Big Cartel web-store year year-round. This year’s AVA-wear is superior quality, featuring heavyweight cotton hoodies, oversized tees with graphic prints, and a limited edition collaboration with Irish designer Robyn Lynch. This is an 18+ event. You will need one of the following to be permitted entry to the festival:

  • A photo driving licence
  • Valid Passport

Please note we are unable to accept ANY other form of ID, so please ensure you have these in good time, prior to the festival.

If you have purchased a Student/Resident Ticket please bring valid student ID or proof of address.

Admissions Information 

If you have purchased a pre 3pm ticket, you must arrive prior to 3pm otherwise you will be required to pay a surcharge of £10 for a day or £15 for a weekend tickets.

There is no re-entry permitted. 

Weekend wristbands must be worn on the Saturday in order to gain entry on the second day. Please do not remove it after the event on Friday.

Searches will be in operation at this event. If you refuse to be searched you will be refused entry to the Festival.

The event is cashless. All bars and food traders will not accept cash

There is a cloakroom and phone charging facility located beside the Merchandise Stand 

Lost Property is located at the Merchandise & Info Stand 

Free drinking water is available at the water stations across the site so bring your

refillable water bottles. These will need to be empty as you arrive.

Alcohol will be served throughout the day and the night at AVA Festival.

Strictly over 18’s. ID will be required.

AVA does not authorise anyone to bring their own alcohol.

Ask for Angela – Welfare Scheme
Anyone who is feeling unsafe, vulnerable or threatened can discreetly seek help by approaching venue staff and asking them for ‘Angela’. This code-phrase will indicate to staff that you require help, and a trained member of staff will then look to support and assist you. This might be through reuniting you with a friend, seeing you in a taxi, or by calling venue security to assist.

Our ticket prices are now all-inclusive. This means that the price you see is what you pay, the booking fee is already included in the ticket price, so you won’t have to worry about any additional charges added on afterwards. We want to make the ticket-buying process as smooth and transparent as possible, ensuring that you can enjoy our events without any hidden costs. Please note that if it is not paid by then your ticket will be void and the first payment is non-refundable. The RA resale queue will not be available for deposit tickets.
