RA Exchange Live: David Holmes – In Conversation with Seamás O’Reilly
David Holmes is an unparalleled icon of Northern Irish dance music, and Irish music generally. Having started DJing at 15, he first came to the fore as a pioneering resident and promoter in Belfast's early 90s club scene. He swiftly became a breakout producer and much sought-after remixer for artists as varied as U2, Orbital and Ice Cube. With six albums under his own name or with collaborators, he's also produced records for Noel Gallagher, Jarvis Cocker and Primal Scream to name just a few. Holmes is also one of the planet's more respected and prolific scorers of film, with over 40 movies and TV shows to his credit, including the Ocean's Eleven trilogy, Steve McQueen's Hunger, The Fall and Killing Eve. This will be his first on-stage interview in Belfast in years and we can't think of a more exciting or illustrious subject for our tenth anniversary keynote.
