Effy, born Sophie Effy Cooper, is a London-based electronic music producer and DJ originally from the North West of England. Growing up near Blackpool, she was influenced by high-energy electronic acts like The Prodigy and The Chemical Brothers. Her musical journey began in her teens when she started Ding at house parties, sparking her interest in production. Inspired by artists like Maya Jane Coles, Efty transitioned to creating her own tracks using Logic.

In 2020, Efty gained recognition with her debut single “Fluffy Clouds,” followed by tracks like “Bodied” and “Raging.” Her reputation continued to grow as she played at major venues such as Fabric, The Warehouse Project, and Amnesia Ibiza, and opened for prominent artists including Helena Hauff, Scuba, Honey Dijon, and Peggy Gou.

Efty gained massive popularity after her Boiler Room performance in Sydney, where she showcased mostly her own productions including the popular EP’s ‘The Highest Level’ and ‘FOR THE CLUB’. Her dynamic style and fresh sound have since resonated with a global audience, leading to international performances at festivals and clubs. She has played at iconic events like Glastonbury and toured countries including Australia, Japan, and the USA.

In addition Efty launched the label Fragrance Recordings with her partner, Mall Grab. One of their standout releases, the viral love anthem “iluv,” has been widely celebrated, further cementing their influence in the scene.

Effy’s last EP celebrated the essence of living up north and clubbing in her hometown Blackpool. The EP titled ‘The Syndicate’ features bass driven club track ‘so sound’ and trance heavy “2011′ which is inspired by nostalgia around the early thousands edm club scene.’
